The Connor Brothers

1984

1984 is a bold limited edition by The Connor Brothers, inspired by George Orwell’s enduring dystopian novel. Measuring 20 x 30", this silkscreen on archival paper places the title at the centre of an eye-like geometric motif, accompanied by the chilling phrase ‘Big tech is watching you’. Vivid red, ochre and pale peach forms stand out against a deep teal background, creating a striking interplay of colour and shape. The eye motif reinforces the artwork’s themes of surveillance and control, while the clean graphic style gives the composition a distinctly contemporary edge. Released as a limited edition of 75, 1984 offers a thought-provoking tribute to one of literature’s most influential works, with a visual impact that lingers long after the first glance.
